Tom W. Stonecipher
Tom Stonecipher is a founding member of the firm. He became Of Counsel to it in 2017 and continues to provide counsel and work on selective matters.
Tom practiced for eighteen years in Chicago, primarily litigating complex commercial cases, before coming to Montana in 1993. His active practice included civil litigation at the trial and appellate levels for local and national clients. He worked extensively in the areas of commercial transactions; zoning, land use, and real estate development; tort defense; employment; entity formation, and examining and opining on transactions for national lenders involving assets in Montana.
Between college and law school, Tom spent three years in the U.S. Army, serving in the field artillery in Vietnam and on brigade and division staffs.
